FROM ORGANIC FARMS TO YOUR TABLE
Bear Pond Farm began as Sweet Pea Organics, a small certified organic family farm that supplied heirloom vegetables to the New York City Green Markets. Our farm-made pesto varieties were "discovered" by food writer Florence Fabricant of The New York Times in 2003. The refrigerated pestos are now packed commercially in Massachusetts and Chicago, and are sold in natural and specialty markets in the East and the Midwest.
In 2004, Bear Pond Farm began licensing specialty herbs to certified organic MCFadden Farm in California, and to certified organic Gaia Herbs in North Carolina. The partnerships allow us to maintain the impeccable quality of our green ingredients as our products find a wider audience.
