We were certified organic herb growers before we were sauce makers! We source certified organic herbs whenever possible, and have worked with certified organic and family-owned Cold Spring Farm in Connecticut and McFadden Farms in California and to insure unsurpassed flavor and quality, sharing the exceptional herb varieties we have cultivated since 2001.

Two Vegan Certified Options

Alongside organic herbs and greens, our Three Greens Pesto and Spicy Vegan Pesto are certified by Vegan Action and made with special ingredients including organic pumpkin seeds, organic scallions and organic miso. The touch of sugar in our Spicy Vegan Pesto is certified by the Non-GMO project.

Two Vegan Options

Alongside organic herbs and greens, our Three Greens Pesto and Spicy Vegan Pesto are suitable for a Vegan diet thanks to their special ingredients including organic pumpkin seeds, organic scallions and organic miso.

Non-GMO Canola & Olive Oil Blend

Most canola oil derives from genetically modified crops. Not ours. The expeller pressed canola oil in Bear Pond Farm pesto sauces is certified by the Non-GMO Project, and it is blended with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Nut Free

Our pestos are nut-free. Traditional pesto is made with nuts. Not ours. Instead, they are dense with herbs and cheese, and “whipped” to a fine texture, making them wonderful on pasta, the classic use, and also great as dips, or added to salad dressings and soups, and as flavorful marinades and finishing dollops. Our pestos are made in a facility that does not process peanuts, but does process tree nuts.
