How long can I keep your pesto in my refrigerator?

Our pestos are coded with a “Use By” date printed on a sticker on each tub. As long as the pesto has been kept refrigerated or frozen once you purchased it, the date on the tub is its expiration date.

Can I freeze your pesto?

Yes! Customers often buy several tubs, refrigerate one and freeze others for future use. Some folks decant the tub contents into ice cube trays and freeze the trays, so they can pop out a cube of pesto as needed.

Can I microwave your pesto?

Yes, on a low setting, to thaw or slightly warm. We recommend doing so on 30% power for no longer than 15 seconds, if you’re defrosting or warming a full tub of pesto. Keep the seal on or off and lid? Avoid microwaving at higher temperatures and/or for longer periods: the pesto will lose its fresh flavor.

My daughter has a peanut allergy. Are your pestos nut-free?

Our pesto sauces are nut-free! They are made in a facility that does not process peanuts, though does process tree nuts.

Is the rennet in the cheese of your pesto sauces animal or vegetable rennet?

The rennet in our cheeses is animal rennet.
